The NAKED Truth....

Today in World Civilizations I had to give a presentation for the class. I thought I could be mature about the whole Olympics and the naked state of the people. However, I found the whole class laughing and my teacher quite angry (although, he was amused). Thinking to myself, I was trying to figure out what I had said. When I finally realized what I said I was so embarrassed. “ The Greeks believed that their gods particularly loved to see strong, fit, graceful human bodies, especially boys' and men's bodies. So one way to get on the good side of the gods was to exercise, to eat right, to oil your skin, to create a beautiful body that the gods would love. The Olympics were for guys only because they would play naked. Some of the things they did was: Wrestling and Pankration which was a mix of boxing and wrestling...That’s why the gods were so entertained. (I'm pretty sure I said some other stuff here otherwise my teacher wouldn't have talked to me later about how what I said wasn't school appropriate)” I soon got a firm "Lauren!" from my teacher. Thank goodness it was the end of my presentation anyway! I passed my Loukoumades (Lukumas small donuts with no taste what-so-ever) and sat down.

My Major and Minor

Ok, I finally decided what the heck I am going to do for my major and minor next year (early college is crazy). I am going to major in Education and minor in History. That way I can be a History teacher for Jr. High and High school students. I am really excited that I found something I can be proud of and am interested in. I know we always give our teachers crap but I think I could make it fun and I wouldn't be a bad teacher. I am always thinking what I could do better if I was the classes teacher. Now I can prove it.

Everything!

Wow it has been a while since I was last on here.

I hung out with A.J. and Katrina yesterday. It is crazy how much people change! I have 2 examples of this to talk about. Katrina is so different if I had just met her I don't think that we would get along at all, which is crazy to me! Also, Tate he must have changed to like *cough* her. It shocks me that they make-out! Yick!

Also school is good. I am nervous about taking the ACT which I am taking this spring so I can take early-college classes and get free flu-shots! Ok, ok so the flu-shot isn't a big point but it is a bonus!

I love my new friends to death! Mandy, Ines, Olivia, John, and everyone else! I love you all so much! You are the best!

So all you guys! I am now 16! Haha! Still haven't been on my first date, which is fine by me! I just don't want it to be all awkward but I guess it would be with anyone I went with.

The most important thing I could have told you that has been happening! I almost forgot! My sister is getting married! To Jeff. I'm excited! Her wedding is in March.

I miss all you people from Centerville and Bountiful so much! I need to see all you! Call me seriously!
